Community Guidelines
ORVO only works if it feels safe. These are the rules that keep it that way — short on purpose, and referenced by our Terms of Service.
1. What we ask of you
- Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate speech, or content meant to humiliate someone.
- Be honest. Don't impersonate a person or an organization, and don't post content designed to mislead.
- Keep it real. No spam, scams, or promotion unrelated to community life.
- Respect privacy. Don't share someone else's personal information, photos, or messages without their consent.
- Keep people safe. No content that puts someone's safety at risk, and nothing unlawful.
2. Organization profiles
Organization profiles — mosques today, and possibly other local groups in the future — are reviewed before they get an "Approved" badge. Only create or manage a profile for an organization you actually represent, and keep its information accurate. If you spot a profile that looks wrong or fake, report it.
3. Reporting and enforcement
You can report any user, post, comment, message, or organization profile that breaks these guidelines, and you can block another user at any time. Reports are reviewed by a person, not decided by an algorithm alone.
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, restrict a feature, or suspend or close an account. We will tell you what happened and why, and you can ask us to take a second look if you think we got it wrong.
